Tourism Yukon Chooses Trigger

CALGARY, AB - MAY 10, 2007

The Yukon Government's Department of Tourism and Culture has partnered with Trigger Communications & Design Ltd. for its 2008 Vacation Planner.

Trigger will handle the management, design, production and printing services for the 120-page publication, to be delivered to the client in October 2007.

"This contract was awarded to Trigger primarily because of our experience in the destination marketing category and our comprehensive understanding of the assignment," said Larry Bannerman, Trigger's President.

"We have produced several Vacation Planners for this client over the years, and we have a proven methodology for producing a high-quality lure piece for the Yukon. We have an in-depth knowledge of Tourism Yukon's marketing strategies and the role that the Vacation Planner plays with its web strategy.

"The Vacation Planner is the primary fulfillment piece that supports all of Tourism Yukon's marketing efforts, and our team is delighted to be developing and producing this again."

The Yukon Vacation Planner is a full-colour publication that features travel information, sections on Yukon's communities and regions, listings, advertising, maps and Yukon imagery. The print run is 180,000.

Three agencies were invited to submit a Request for Proposal after being shortlisted in a Request for Qualifications process last year.

Trigger's relationship with Tourism Yukon dates back to 1994, and the agency has worked on 10 Vacation Planners and several marketing initiatives including ad campaigns, direct marketing, public relations, promotional partnerships and sponsorships, websites and branded merchandise.
